What a day!

I don't know where to start because things have been so complex today.

Let's go by point.

1. At 10 am I receive a bunch of flowers at my place. Romano opens the door and collects them. Pointless saying that he was furious about them. The flowers were from a secret admirer. Just a small note in Italian saying: I am sure you will never guess but I hope that from now on you will pay a bit more attention about the men around you. I thought it was Mario but this kind of message wouldn't make any sense as we are going out for lunch together. I thought of Anneka just trying to test me but I find it far too childish. I started thinking of any possible man I deal with but if he said that I should pay more attention means that I probably have never noticed him.

2. At 12:30 Mario comes to pick me up with his fast car. He drove on the motorway at speeds I never thought a car could go, we got out at Anagni and continued for Subiaco where he managed to enter the monastery of Santa Scolastica and went for a private visit. It was fantastic. Then we went for lunch in a local farmhouse that serves fish and great wine. It was perfect. Even his behaviour was perfect but there was something troubling him and I asked him what it was. He didn't make any secret about it and told me that his friend Flavio was behaving in a very strange way recently and was very jealous about the success he had with people and women. This was really troubling him and he thought that this could lead to the end of a long time friendship. The flowers! I thought it could have been Flavio, perfect, absolutely perfect match... I asked him if Flavio was in love with someone and he said that he didn't think so even if he heard him talking about a girl called Bonnie and he thinks that the reason why Flavio doesn't want him to go to NY together is because of this lady that, probably, is too ugly and embarrassing to show to friends.

3. At 17:30 we headed back home and we stopped in a pines woods for a drink. He had brought a bottle of champagne. It was very nice. I checked my mobile and there were 12 missed calls and 5 messages, all from Anneka. She sounded desperate. I sent her a message back saying that I could not see her tonight as I was out with a friend all day. Mario spoke extensively about her asking how long we had known each other and so on. He told me that he likes her but it is not his type and he never felt sexually attracted by her while, this was different about me.

4. 20:30 back to Rome. A gentle kiss on the lips and the boy had his happy day while I felt so fucking bitchy I cannot even tell. I have been pretending all day long! The time to get indoor and Anneka calls me. She was furious and she was downstairs. She saw me with Mario and wanted some explanations. I will see her tomorrow, I refused to see her tonight.

5. 21:30, a message from someone, the guy of the flowers asking me for a blind date this week. I could not reply to his sms because it was one of those messages sent via a PC, so I don't know how he expected me to reply. I think it is Flavio, I have to find a way to discover it. I will have to find an excuse to meet all of us.

6. 23:14... I am so sleepy! Goodnight!
